There are two specific truths in the scripture above and they are: 1. Evil shall not befall. (Meaning that evil is perpetrated from heavenly places) 2. Plagues shall not come. (Plagues are beings that can approach an entity) Evil is perpetrated from higher places.
These higher places are heavenly realms but not the actual place of God's dwelling. The beings in these realms are described as spiritually wicked beings as can be seen below: Ephesians 6:12 (12) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. The heavenly places are otherwise called the heavens, and the heavens are biblically represented as any area(s) in space other than the heaven and the earth.
Spiritual wickedness operates by plotting wicked imaginations against individuals on earth, and when these imaginations materialize on earth, they are described as, "befalling evil". Other words that could be used for the phrase, "befalling evil", are: disaster, calamity, tragedy, catastrophe, accident, mishap, misadventure, mischance, setback, and reversal. Do you notice that these words are very common in people's day-to-day dealings on earth now?
So, when Satanic meetings happen outside the earth realm, enforcements are made within the earth realm and they appear in the form of "befalling evil". But how would the evil appropriately locate the victim? The next truth in that scripture is the "coming plague".
The word, "coming" is used to describe motion when it involves an animate entity. You don't say a tree is coming but can say, a cat is coming, or a goat is coming, or a man is coming. You also wouldn't say a car is coming as the car is steered by a man.
You would rather say the man is coming if you can tell who steers the car. So, the word "come" is used to address entities that can take conscious forward steps as a consequence of a self-made decision. Therefore, the plagues in Psalms 91:10 are not just plagues but beings that manifest as plagues.
But how many beings make up this plague? Some synonyms to the word, plague are Infestation, epidemic, invasion, influx, swarm, multitude, or host. Notice that each of these represents group action.
None of the synonyms represents an individual operation. We have also established the fact that spiritually wicked spirits dwelling in high places imagine evil, this evil get's passed on to the earth realm as "befalling evil", and they get transmitted to the concerned individual as a plague. The grand interpretation is simple, no single operation of darkness is executed by one spirit.
Every evil perpetrated against an individual is a product of several terrible spirits executing grand orders from highly placed demons. For every single negative thing that should happen to you, there must be several demons working together and intelligently to make it possible. So, when God says, "There shall no evil befall thee", you must understand how powerful His word is.
You must understand that a single word spoken by Him can completely cripple every network of Satanic operations working against each single thing in your life. Most times we do not actually know the degree of what God does for us at each point in time, and this is because we never get to see the exact sequence of events that had to happen for victory to be achieved. the word of the Lord is bringing the wonders of deliverance to you. You will see the acts and miracles of God bring great deliverance to your life in Jesus' mighty name!
Psalms 27:3 (3) Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
