Breaking Strongholds

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc; though strong, it has a lower resistance to destruction than iron. Let's look at what the bible says about brass and iron in terms of strength below: Daniel 2:39-40 (39) And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth. (40) And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. The scripture above describes iron with the word, 'strong'.

It goes further to say that "iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things". What's the essence of all these explanations? Notice that in our first scripture, the bible says that God breaks brass but cuts iron.

In Daniel 2:40, we see that when something is broken, it's destroyed completely to it's smallest form. So, God will destroy problems of brass but merely cut problems of iron. There are degrees of affliction, levels of satanic and demonic operation, and divers types of bondage.

Some are so powerful that they can be like iron, others are weaker that they can be like brass. Many times, we believe that God being so powerful destroys all problems simply, but this is not exactly what the bible says. Take a look at the scripture below: Jeremiah 32:17 (17) Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee: Note the phrase, 'too hard'.

Nothing is impossible with God; nothing is 'too hard' for God; but some things can be hard for God to do. Though some things can be hard, but nothing can be 'too hard'; and as such, nothing can be impossible with God. Look at the scripture below: 2 Kings 2:9-10 (9) And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee.

And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. (10) And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so. Hard things require greater power from God, they require the power that 'breaks'. This is the power represented in the spirit realm as the power that cuts bars of iron.

Hard things are resistant to destruction, they rarely accept a total destruction but only accept a cutting. By accepting a cutting, they express the fact that they hope to re-entangle the captive after sometime. This is why so many people get liberated from certain satanic operations but find themselves returning to the same affliction after sometime.

These are bars of iron. This is the 'breaker' power that destroys all kinds of yokes. A new power has been made available by God, our liberty would be complete now in Jesus mighty name!
