Healing and Wholeness — St. Matthew 12:15

Miracles are direct results of following Jesus. In our focal scripture, we see that each single person who followed Jesus ended up getting healed. The Bible used the phrase, "and he healed them all", showing that they never really needed to ask to be healed. All they needed to do was to follow Him, which would in turn move Him to heal them all. In Mark 6:1-7, we see a contrast to this when Jesus went to His hometown to preach the gospel. While doing so, His countrymen demeaned His personality by speaking ill of His roots and as a result of this, the Bible said He couldn't do any mighty works. God's ability towards an individual increases with honour and followership. Without these, we will struggle to receive tangible miracles from Him. Followership is defined as "the ability to accomplish goals under a leader's direction", and this must define your relationship with Jesus for you to begin to witness unbelievable manifestations of His power. Don't allow the present trend of "having a form of godliness" define your convictions. People who do so struggle to experience real miracles from God. They might make you believe that they do, but in actuality, they don't. There's no shortcut to mighty manifestations, the only way is to follow! You must submit totally to God and to His will and He, in turn, will submit unparalleled authority to you. This authority, in turn, gives you access to rare wonders!
