Supernatural Deliverance — Isa 49:24

This Scripture begins and ends with questions. Looking at both questions interchangeably, we discover that the prey is also a lawful captive. A lawful captive is an individual who is legitimately in bondage, a bondage backed up by a law.

It's very interesting to note that there are laws backing captivity, laws that completely strip a victim of the power and right to freedom and hands the full rights over to the captor. A lawful captive has zero rights, can not lay claim to anything, can not own anything, and lives his/her life exactly as stipulated by the captor. The captor completely determines what the captive does at anytime and how it's done.

In this circumstance, the captor is described as a mighty one. Whenever you completely lose your rights to an entity, that entity becomes a mighty one to you and completely regulates everything about your life. A mighty one is an oppressor that treats you like a prey.

You are like food to him/her. Lawful captivity is different from slavery. In slavery, you are made to serve and discharge duties in favour of your master, but in lawful captivity, you are consistently consumed by your captor like you were a meal or food to him.

We understand this to imply that the more an individual remains a lawful captive, the further his/her life deteriorates. Lawful captivity consistently impoverishes, weakens, destroys and ultimately annihilates the concerned individual. It's a kind of bondage where you're never static nor move forward but always depreciates and deteriorates.

This is why urgent intervention is needed. According to our scripture the intervention needed by a lawful captive is to be "taken". The word "taken" is used when an individual collects something inanimate, static and without choice and opinion.

This is the level of helplessness involved in this sort of captivity. There are depths of bondage that transform an individual into something that looks like a zombie, without choice, and completely unable to reason and choose. The good news however is that from this moment onward, deliverance has been released.

If your captor is a mighty one, then God is a mightier one. If your captor is a great one, then God is a greater one. If your captor is a strong one, then God is a stronger one.

Your victory begins the power that delivers you and restores choice to you. Whatever took choice away from you is about to give way.
