Spiritual Hunger — Psa 63:1-2

He promised to open our eyes to see heavenly realms provided we maintained our confession. Though the Holy Spirit moved, I discovered that each time I laid hands on someone, I felt the power of God bouncing off from their bodies, It wasn't actually getting into them but was rather rubbing off their bodies. In my worries, I discovered by the Spirit that we have almost completely lost every zeal and drive towards being useful to God.

We've completely started chasing benefits from God with no recourse to being useful to God. He already knew we had become too cold and docile, uninterested in being filled by Him with His power and only interested in financial and breakthrough changes. However, there's a visitation that can never come to us except we're equally hungry for an encounter.

In the scripture above, we see David crying out to God in the wilderness of Judah. He first acknowledged God's divinity and authority over him, after which he reminded God that both his soul and flesh longed for God even while in a dry and thirsty land. He described his existing environment as a dry and thirsty environment, an environment that had this property because it was a wilderness.

He then went further to indicate that he had only seen God's power and glory while he was in the sanctuary. David knew that his problem was caused by an environmental change, but even though there had been an environmental change; there had been no change in desire. Most of us can't even tell when and how we began to experience the negative movement away from God.

We began to drift away too early and too fast and can't even trace where this is all coming from. I discovered that with each financial increase, we get colder and more latent towards the things of God and His Spirit. We will restore our hunger, we will return to the sanctuary and we will see God's power and Glory in mighty dimensions now in Jesus name!
