Divine Prosperity — Proverbs 19:15

Let me start by saying that every blessing of God has a physical landing point in the life of an individual. For instance, salvation comes upon the soul as seen below: 1 Peter 1:9 (9) Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. Divine healing comes on bodily wounds: Nahum 3:19 (19) There is no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?

And the blessing of prosperity comes on the work of the hands: Job 1:10 (10) Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. In our focal scripture we see God describe a type of persons and they were described with the phrase, "idle soul". An idle soul is an individual that does not in any way engage in any form of labour whether by circumstance or by choice.

You must understand that even when you do not engage in labour simply because of circumstances like the inability to raise a business or get a job, God still describes you as an idle soul. There's a prophetic word for an idle soul in our focal scripture. First, note that whenever the word of God makes use of the word "shall" in describing a situation, then it means either of the situations below: 1.

Process for physical outcomes. 2. Prophecy for spiritual outcomes.

Proverbs 19:15 describes a physical outcome, and as such, the word "shall" found therein, describes a process. In a nutshell, the word of God says that so long as you remain idle, you keep alive a process that moves you closer to hunger. This remains the case as God would have nothing to impart the blessing of prosperity on.

Always remember that in imparting the blessing of prosperity, God never seeks out a man or woman, but rather seeks out a work as can be seen in Job 1:10. God wants to sort out every idleness present in our midst, and make known His power in revealing and establishing an enterprise for you, and so shall it be in Jesus name!
