Walking in Purity — Heb 1:14

In the old testament, the temple was referred to as the 'temple of God', but was referred in the new testament as the 'temple of the Holy Ghost'. Look at the scripture below: 1Co 6:19 (19) What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? So, God dwelt in the old testament temples while the 'Holy Ghost' dwells in the new testament temples.

There were 3 compartments in the old testament which were: (1). The outer court: Ezekiel 10:5 (5) And the sound of the cherubims' wings was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God when he speaketh. (2). The inner court: Ezekiel 10:3 (3) Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court. (3).

The Holiest of All: Hebrews 9:3 (3) And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; The outer court was an area outside the temple, it had no direct relationship with the temple and could always be abused by foreign elements like the Gentiles (In the case of the old testament temple). Check below: Revelation 11:1-2 (1) And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. (2) But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. The inner court had some few important holy things like; the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread.

This inner court was called 'the sanctuary'. Check below: Hebrews 9:2 (2) For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary. The glory and power of God could always be seen in this inner court at anytime and was where the people of God gathered to worship God.

David talked about one of those days in the scripture below: Psalms 63:1-2 (1) A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; (2) To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. This inner court however had a very strong and thick veil at the very end of it which separated it from another court.

This third court was the most important and sacred part of the old testament temple which contained: the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant. Hebrews 9:3-5 (3) And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; (4) Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; (5) And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly. Notice the use of the phrase, "second veil" in verse 3; an expression that shows that there was also a first veil.

The first veil made the people in the outer court unaware of the happenings in the inner court, and the second veil made the people in the inner court unaware of the happenings in the holiest of all. If our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and Acts 5:3-4 tells us that the Holy Spirit is God as can be seen below: Acts 5:3-4 (3) But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? (4) Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. We can also realize that our body must have 3 courts just like it was in the old testament 'temple of God'. (1).

Outer Court: Our outer court just like the old testament's outer court would be that part of us that can easily be abused by our Gentiles. The Gentiles were the enemies of the Jews and our enemies are 'demons'. So, our Gentiles are demons.

Demons can afflict our physical body with sin, sicknesses, failure and diseases. The outer court is the body. (2). Inner Court: The inner court was between the outer and the holiest of all and was the same place where the laws of God and His testimonies were taught.

It was the center of learning and spiritual knowledge. Occasionally, the power and glory of God would be felt within it and it evoked thirst and hunger for God within the soul just like David had. This place was the soul. (3).

The holiest of all: This was where the real presence of God was; where God dwelt. God dwells in our spirit, and this happens by His Spirit attaching to our human spirit. This can be seen below: 1 Corinthians 6:19 (19) What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

The Holy Spirit dwells in our human spirit, thus making us His temple. This becomes possible when we get saved and not when we get baptized by His Spirit. It's salvation that gets the presence of the Holy Spirit in us and not the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit rather empowers us to be used by God to touch people. I need you to remember that the temple of God is holy. If all temples of God must be holy, then you MUST BE HOLY.

But you must know that even when sufficient power is present but with sin, the operations of the Holy Spirit becomes deactivated. Don't let anyone deceive you, God never uses a man who condones or supports sin. God never uses a man who preaches the message of sins being already covered by God.

No matter what you feel about this, you can take an objective look around you. Any man of God who has very SPECTACULAR spiritual manifestations, power and evidence always rebukes sin in people. the Holy Spirit wants you to activate His presence in your holiest of all once again by letting go of your sins. Ask Him to forgive and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

The message that tells you not to confess your sins to God is a message of pride, this is why you don't see real power in you. You can't cheat God and still have Him. This is a rain of wonders, evidence, breakthroughs, liberty, and power but will only fall on those who have made their garments white.

It's your responsibility to be pure and not God's responsibility. Revelation 7:14 (14) And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

The above scripture says the redeemed would 'make' their garments white, and would 'wash' their robes in the blood. How could you wash your robe again after being righteous? Your robe is given by God at salvation, but can be stained when you sin.

This is why the scripture below exists: 1 John 1:6-9 (6) If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: (7) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (8) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (9) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Confession brings cleansing. Unless you confess, you can never be cleansed.

He will forgive and cleanse you. Then, the promises of God towards you for our lives will come to pass. God bless you.
