Scripture Focus

Isa 54:1-3 · KJV

(1) Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD. (2) Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; (3) For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

Meditate On The Message

I appreciate Him for His faithfulness and pray that all what He said concerning each of us be permanent in Jesus name! In this Scripture we see a powerful secret that triggers supernatural enlargement, the secret of spontaneous prophetic praise. In verse 1, God instructs the barren and unproductive to sing.

He said, "Sing, O barren, that didst not bear.". We see here that God isn't acting like He's not aware of the presence of the barrenness, but commands the barren to sing. He also said, ".break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child.", this shows spontaneous singing.

We sing spontaneously when something good happens unexpectedly, something we never anticipated. So, God wants us to sing suddenly like we actually received a very unexpected and sudden news. This has nothing to do with whether it happened already or not, it's prophetic.

Note that the power in this kind of praise is not in the praise itself but in how "broken forth" it is, how sudden it is, like you suddenly saw or heard something. And why should we do this? He went further to say we should because, ".more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife.".

How can God call you barren and under the same breath say you have many children? God never creates without conceiving thoughts, God's creation begins with His thoughts. For instance, before creating Eve, He said, "It's not good for the man to be alone.".

That thought led to the creation of the woman from the man. When God asked the barren to break forth with singing, He did so because the children of the barren were already in His thoughts. Look at another instance of when God thought before blessing below: Jer 3:19 (19) But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.

God's thoughts are too numerous for us, but they can only come to full manifestation when we praise Him like His thoughts have been executed already. Praise begins with a good state of the mind. The mind must already accept God's thoughts and plans and spontaneously praise God for them.

The more you spend your day singing and praising God for what you know He promised you, the more He fulfills. Finally, what happens when we praise spontaneously? Look at verse 3 below: (3) For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

You shall break forth on the right and on the left because you broke forth with prophetic singing. Wow! This means that the more sudden your praise, the more sudden your miracle!

We're not getting the miracles because we're not praising, and our miracles don't happen suddenly because our praise isn't sudden.
