Divine Enlargement — Exo 34:24

From today's reading, we discover that enlargement doesn't just come. A casting out must happen before enlargement can be possible, and in Israel's case, the nations had to be cast out. The nations were the occupants of the land that God had promised Israel to take up.

At the time of this promise, those lands were still occupied, and as Israel would later find out, the occupants of those lands were not just people, they were rather giants. So in a nutshell we would say, "God wanted to enlarge His people, but for that to happen, stronger people had to be dislodged". Isn't that surprising?

Hear this! Every new level that God has promised you is currently occupied by someone or something. You must know that there's currently no free space, no free blessing and no free height.

Everything has currently been occupied. Also note that for every enlargement, a casting out has to take place. Isn't that unfair?

Why should God take something away from someone, only to give to another? Now take a look at the scripture below: Lev 18:24 (24) Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: Wow! So, the original occupants were guilty of something and as such had to be removed?

Each time a word comes from God, promising enlargement or elevation, then, someone somewhere who occupies that level has become guilty of something and broken a vow, oath or a covenant. God does not just bring people down. Note also that the "casting out" process is never sudden, but gradual and involves warfare as seen in the case of Israel.

You will be resisted and confronted by the one you should take over from. This confrontation and resistance continues for as long as the take-over process lasts. Finally, when God grants you full enlargement, you must make sure you don't repeat the errors of the original occupants of the grace you have inherited.
