Spiritual Warfare and Victory — Ezra 4:1-5

We've been praying for our destinies to shine brighter than the sun forever, and this prayer has progressed from the early hours of that day till this point. Some persons may not understand the meaning or the reason behind these prayers as they might not see any immediate spiritual onslaught against their lives. If you're part of these people, the fact that you immediately don't see anything around you that suggests a spiritual attack doesn't mean you shouldn't take this prayer seriously.

Another word for destiny is purpose. "Purpose" when defined narrowly could be called intention or pursuits, but it becomes destiny when defined broadly. Destiny is a definition of the reason for the existence of an individual on earth.

It's usually a role applied by God to an individual even before birth and which must be fulfilled. In our passage the children of Judah had embarked on a rebuilding process and the target was to rebuild the temple of the LORD. As this mission progressed, the word of God tells us in verse 1 that their adversaries first "heard" that the children of the "captivity" built the temple.

At this point, the children of Judah and Benjamin were still in captivity but had received permission to rebuild God's temple, and the fact that the people of the land "heard" that they had begun construction again showed that those adversaries regularly kept themselves updated on their progress. When you are constricted in any way in life both spiritually and/or physically, your adversaries or constrictors always keep tabs on you to ensure you don't make any move that demonstrates progress or any move that threatens their comfort. So long as you don't do this, they keep everything around you calm.

This is why someone could be spiritually cursed to be barren but would never find out unless she got married. So long as she's single, nothing suggests that her womb is cursed until she gets married and begins to have desires towards childbearing. Additionally, a lady might be very pretty and consider herself perfectly in line for marriage but may not know that she's cursed to be single until she gets to the age for marriage.

Understand also that the adversaries didn't see the children of Judah building from our passage but heard that they were building. Your adversaries are usually not around you, but they however keep tabs on your efforts by assigning monitors or spies to you. When these adversaries are spiritual, these spies are demons that specialize in talebearing and these demons always radio the enemy base once you take a step in the right direction.

There are many things to talk about from the passage but we will stop here now. However, the most important thing to note at this point is that if the adversaries never heard that the children of Judah and Benjamin had started building, there wouldn't have been any issues. So, the major problem to deal with is not the adversaries but the monitoring demons.
