God, in this passage, highlights the things that must happen for someone to "possess anything". If you pay attention to the four things mentioned, God did not promise causing those things to happen, but rather moved that responsibility to their respective sources. For instance: the seed should be prosperous, an allusi…
(12) For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.Zechariah 8:12 · KJV

Miracles are direct results of following Jesus. In our focal scripture, we see that each single person who followed Jesus ended up getting healed. The Bible used the phrase, "and he healed them all", showing that they never really needed to ask to be healed. All they needed to do was to follow Him, which would in turn…
It's a particular day and the story of the Pentecost is about to be retold! The word, "baptism" alludes to another word, "immerse". So, to be baptized with the Holy Ghost and fire is to be immersed or buried in the Holy Ghost and fire. It's like saying that Jesus will make us pass through the fire and the Holy Spirit.…
The most interesting part of the above passage is the phrase, "the angel that talked with me". Zechariah had reached a point of enjoying a two-way communication with an angel of God. Angels were used to deliver divine messages to God's people all through the Bible. Their operations wasn't limited to the old testament,…
God created the earth in such a way that all areas of life observe the law of opposites. This law states that at any given time, one of two possible things would always be true and that the presence of one thing always means the absence of the other, and vice versa. For instance, there can't be day AND night at the sa…
If you've been wondering why you hardly witness changes even after extended periods of fasting and prayer, this focal scripture has an answer. Two things were pointed out by God as the reason why the fastings of the Israelites yielded no result. Let's examine them below © © 4. Fasting without denying themselves of hap…
So far we've seen that hope produces no result, and that hope might actually appear as faith to many people. We also saw that no matter the trust and confidence we might have in God unless our trust achieves expression, we do not have faith. Earlier on, we discovered that hope cannot be seen, known, or felt, but faith…
A child of God can get into the hands of the enemy when he or she derails, and when this enemy gets in, he or she begins to attack vital or valuable areas of the life of this child of God. However, whenever this child of God realizes his or her errors and desires to be delivered, God is always quick to save. Understan…
What does this mean? Firstly, I'm sure you already agree with me that this can't be a coincidence. In our focal scripture, we discover that the enemy becomes afraid once God is found in the midst of His people. This fear gets demonstrated through sustained and open attacks. This is why you sometimes experience repeated…
We will look at something really important now. This is a question on the lips of almost everyone who knows about God and prayer. Most people dare to ask this, and for the few who do not, they don't ask because they have an answer, but simply because they believe that God must never be questioned. The question is, why…
From now's reading, we discover that enlargement doesn't just come. A casting out must happen before enlargement can be possible, and in Israel's case, the nations had to be cast out. The nations were the occupants of the land that God had promised Israel to take up.At the time of this promise, those lands were still…
We see Joseph sent to prison after being framed up by Potiphar's wife, and even while in prison, the favour of God upon his life still shone. In verse 21, we see the phrase, ".the LORD was with Joseph.and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison". Notice the word, "gave" which shows favour to be a gift…
Welcome to a very special day, and as always, a day that the Lord has made for us to rejoice and be glad! In our focal scripture, Jesus promised two things as a direct result of the coming of the Holy Spirit. The first is the saturation of the body with power, while the second is the transformation of the recipient in…
